ISLAMABAD:Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan’s book “Pakistan: A Personal History” was formally launched here Thursday. Air Marshal (Retired) Asghar Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.

Representing the youth of the country, Adeel Hashmi stressed on the relevance of black and white in the context of the contemporary environment obtaining in Pakistan. He said Imran was the one leader who had the courage to speak the truth under trying circumstances. That’s what endeared him to the youth of the country who had attached their hopes and aspirations with him and his party.
Mushahid Hussain spoke of the relevance of Imran’s message in current times saying that his success could herald the much-needed change in the country.
Imran Khan thanked those who attended the function. He spoke eloquently about the role the young generation could play in the country and said that he had dedicated his book to his two sons and the youth of the country. He said that the future of the country rested in their hands.
He said that, even in the worst of times, despondency and hopelessness should not be allowed to take over. On the contrary, one should continue working for the promotion of the ideals of truth, honesty and dedication putting one’s faith in the inevitability of change for the better.
Air Marshal (Retired) Asghar Khan paid glowing tributes to the courage and sagacity of Imran Khan and said that his victory in the elections would help the country move away from the tentacles of corruption and herald the movement for the long-overdue change in the country. He wished Imran well in the future and hoped that he would be able to lead the country out of the quagmire that it was currently sunk in.
Dr. Shireen Mazari, Vice President, Foreign Affairs and National Security of PTI performed the function of the stage secretary.
